Uncle Charlie is Charles William Doig. He was born on 27 Feb 1871 in St. Nicholas, Aberdeen, Scotland. He died in 1938 in Aberdeen, Aberdeen, Scotland. In 1901 Charles was a linotype operator residing at 14 Loanhead Terrace, Rosemount, Aberdeen with his wife Helen and children Gordon J. and Mary F.; his mother Mary Doig lived next door. He was secretary of the Hospital Saturday Fund, a local charity. On his wife’s death certificate he is stated to have been an Inspector, Board of Health Scotland.

Aunt Nellie is Helen Ann Doig ne Gordon, wife of Charles William Doig (see death certificate below).
